Research
The Sparrow/MSU Family Medicine Residency Program is committed to supporting residents’ research efforts. All residents are provided supervised experiences in research or other scholarly activities. Many residents’ scholarly projects are practice-based quality improvement projects overseen by two faculty mentors from the Department of Family Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Residents are also involved in developing Sparrow Health System Quality Improvement Storyboards, office-based quality improvement projects, and journal club.
In addition to participating in the research work of the residents, faculty members are active in their own research and are often asked to speak at national meetings and serve on national committees.
